It’s all about the payment method you choose when you go to buy a Powerpack. The default option is to complete the transaction using your preferred payment method (credit/debit card or direct debit). But if you need to defer the payment, choose ‘Online Banking’ instead.
With this option you actually can buy now and pay later. It’s like an IOU!
While you can obviously use online banking to pay the amount outstanding once you are able (find out how), there are plenty of other opportunities.
You can clear your balance on the desktop (or pay however much of it you can) by clicking on the ‘Add Money’ link that will appear under the Transactions tab. In the mobile app, tap on the Cart icon. You’ll see an orange box at the top of the screen asking if you want to pay your outstanding balance now.
There is a day of reckoning though – but even that is flexible! If you haven’t paid for your purchase by the time of your next Account Review, we will schedule an auto-payment and give you around three days notice of when it will be charged to your preferred payment method.
However, if that date doesn’t suit, you can move it to a few days later. On your desktop, look for the ‘Move payment’ link at the top of the Account Statements page. Or give us a call on 0800 462 668 and we’ll move it for you.
